Now the ball is really going to get rolling when it comes to getting answers and a diagnosis.
We are thrilled and scared at the same time. Once again, Thank you for your prayers.
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almightly.
I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust"
Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler
And from the perilous pestilence.
He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wing you shall take refuge;
His trust shall be your shield and buckler.
You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
nor of the arrow that flies by day,
Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness.
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
Psalm 91 vs. 1-6

I am so very thankful that you got in so soon. What a blessing. Days at home, waiting and wondering are so difficult. Appointments are hard too, but at least you are getting closer to answers and plans. This is all God's good provision.
ReplyDeleteWe are praying continually.
I will say a prayer not only for your son but for your family as well... that you will have strength, faith, hope and and an ability to not lose yourself through out the journey that you all have ahead of you.
ReplyDeleteMy son was diagnosed with stage 3 hodgkins lymphoma in March and he finally completed treatment a couple of weeks ago, we are now waiting 6 weeks to retest him and see if he can be classified as being in remission. Cancer changes EVERYTHING and while it brings so many negatives it also seems to highlight the blessings in our lives too.
I'll be following Charlie's journey.
So glad you are in quickly. What a blessing. Thanks for the post!
ReplyDeleteYou don't know who I am, but I saw Joni's post on facebook and I just want you to know that I am praying for your son! May God also give you the strength that you need to get through this. We don't always understand the plans that He has for us and I pray that He will help you through it!
ReplyDeleteBecky Hart
Kate and Adrian, Just spoke with my Ophthalmologist about Charlie. He was very encouraging. Shared that he had diagnosed a young woman when she was 8 months old, with both eyes involved. She is now 22 years old, married with children.
ReplyDeleteWhen things happen to our children it is always very frightening.
Awaiting results of your day. Know you are in our thoughts. Love to all Aunt Kathy
